Our commitment to The Planet

We love our planet and vow to do our part to preserve our eco-system and do business ethically. This means whilst we bake, knead and cook delicious organic food for our customers, we won't do it at the expense of the planet.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and . . . Compost

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we make sure to reduce plate waste, reuse what we can and recycle all our cardboard, glass and plastic. This is made possible by Keenan Recycling Ltd who collects all of our recyclable waste.

As well as recycling, we also compost all of our food waste and use biomass as a renewable energy source for the bistro.

Let's work together to close the loop!

Our straws are made from plants

We know that single-use plastic is a growing problem within our industry and so we have chosen Vegware to help us reduce our impact on the environment.

Vegware is an eco-friendly company that supplies packaging made from plants. This means that all of our napkins, shopping bags, disposable cups, spoons, forks and straws are fully compostable.

Now you know when you take away one of our yummy cakes, you can put the box straight in your food bin!

Supporting charities

"No one has ever become poor by giving"

Anne Frank

For the Bistro, helping others is what we believe in. Not only do we care for our customers at home but we also try to support other people around the world.

Ever since we opened our doors in 2010 we have donated every month to Send a Cow. The charity supports vulnerable families and individuals in Africa. So far we have donated over £30,000!

Sourcing ingredients locally

We have our own allotment where we organically grow our own vegetables and salads. This makes our menu seasonal, as we believe in using what is best when the ground says so. As well as growing our own vegetables we always try to source other ingredients as locally and ethically as possible.
